Double A are Scotland's leading supplier of quality groundcare equipment supplying equipment and aftersales services to golf courses, local authorities, caravan parks, contractors, arboculturists, private estates and homeowners.  We are based in Cupar, Fife and Altens, Aberdeen and currently employ  thirty three members of staff. We now require an additional experienced Service Technician to work from our new purpose built Aberdeenshire Depot based in Kintore, Inverurie opening later in 2019.

Job Description: 

We are currently looking to recruit someone to perform diagnostics, service, repair and maintenance on customer and dealer owned equipment.  This will include service / repair and PDI of groundcare equipment including compact tractors, utility vehicles, golf and commercial machinery from manufacturers, such as John Deere, Tru-Turf, Timberwolf, Lastec, Gianni Ferrari and Campey Turf Care.  Work will be conducted on customer sites and in our workshop facility.

Essential Duties:

  • Perform diagnostics, service, repairs and maintenance on equipment
  • Undertake service and setup of cutting units
  • Complete administration tasks for work assignments (including time sheets, job cards, DTAC etc)
  • Perform pre-delivery set-up on new or used equipment
  • Maintain a clean work station at all times
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations when working
  • Participate in required training programmes for the development of skills and knowledge
  • Attention to detail is crucial

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ experience performing service, repairs and maintenance 
  • Ability to perform repairs and maintenance using special tools and equipment following approved technical procedures
  • Proficient knowledge of mechanical systems to effect the repair of equipment
  • Ability to use standard computer applications, internet functions and manufacturer applications
  • Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes - this will include computer based packages
  • Good customer relationship skills
  • Ability to work alone on own initiative, whilst also in a team environment
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends
  • A forklift and trailer licence would be an advantage
