Service Manager - Dumfries


Job Function:

To manage service operations in our new Dumfries depot and optimise the service department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties:

  • Execute customer requests by coordinating and directing the service workload for maximum efficiency and productivity while providing quality repair work.

  • Direct and assist technicians in their tasks to ensure repairs are completed correctly.

  • Check all completed jobs to ensure they are complete and accurate for both parts and labour.

  • Ensure that service processes, policies and guidelines are followed and applied safely.

  • Maintain good discipline and organisation for the workshop, ensuring it is clean, tidy and safe.

  • Liaise daily with the Group Service Manager to review workshop performance and address any specific issues.

  • Supervise and coach the workshop team.

  • Participate in recruiting, hiring, developing and retaining key talent.


Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years experience as an Service Technician would be an advantage
  • Ability to lead others
  • High level of communication and human relation skills
  • Ability to use standard computer applications and internet functions
  • Familiar with John Deere and competitive products
  • Ability to work under pressure
